Conservative MPs Mark Prisk and Anne Main were the guests of honour at the event, held in Bite Café - the hospitality area on the ground floor of the company’s new headquarters in Victoria Street.

Mr Mark Prisk, MP for Hertford and Stortford, spoke to the audience about the burden of regulations and the scourge of late payments affecting small & medium enterprises and the proposed legislative solutions he is hoping to guide through parliament. He also noted the widespread confidence from St. Albans business leaders during these difficult market conditions. He supported transparency of MP’s expenses and commended Anna Main for her tireless work within her St. Albans constituency.

Mike Maslin, Regional Director at AECOM, said: “it was a pleasure to welcome Chamber of Commerce members to AECOM’s new head office in St. Albans and to emphasise our continued commitment to the City. It was also a great opportunity for local leaders to discuss business issues with two prominent local MP’s.
