‘We were very surprised and pleased to win this award, especially when we saw  the other candidates who were nominated in our category. It is always good to receive recognition of your efforts and this award has made us feel very upbeat and positive for the future. The awards dinner was very well planned, fun and it was really nice to be able to network with other  different St Albans businesses and discuss our concerns and opportunities for the future.’  Jo Mathers, Cup Cake Clothing

"We are delighted to have won the Green Business Award this year. Lussmanns strives to be an ethical and sustainable restaurant, championing the best British suppliers, managing our resources effectively, engaging with the community and minimising our impact on the environment. We hope that this important recognition by the St Albans Chamber of Commerce will encourage more restaurants to do the same."  Andrei Lussmann, Lussmanns

Being nominated for the Young Person Award, was a wonderful surprise. It was also a real pleasure to meet with the judges and talk to them about my career, life and future aspirations. Being named as a finalist and then attending the incredibly well organised awards ceremony, with the support of such fabulous friends and family was so exciting. I was really moved, and delighted, by the kind words that people said and wrote about me.

Sitting at the back of the venue on the night, I never expected to win anything and when my name was called out I was astounded! From start to finish this has been an experience that I will never forget. Katie Cairns, Cardif Pinnacle

"It is an honour to be recognised by the Chamber of Commerce by receiving this award. Over the past 30 years many people have benefited from the funds raised by the thousands of participants in the Half Marathon. I accept the award on behalf of everyone who has been involved in organising what is now a major event in the St. Albans sporting calendar." Phil Gibson, Chittenden Autos

“I’m absolutely delighted for Debenhams Ottaway to be recognised with the Award for Best Corporate Social Responsibility. I know the category was keenly contested, with initially 30 applications being received. The firm was selected following a thorough selection process which makes winning all the more satisfying. Our CSR programme involves everyone in the firm. It is a real team effort with so many DO people giving freely of their time and energy. It’s excellent recognition for all at DO.” Ian Hopkins, Chief Executive

“The awards event was electric, the Chamber did a fan job.   We are delighted to win this prestigious award in the local community & would like to thanks all patrons of Chez Mumtaj for voting for us” Chad Rahman, Managing Director
